How Rulemint SEO handles information
Operator and contact
Rulemint SEO is operated by Daniel Rodriguez, Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Support and privacy inquiries: [email protected]. Effective date: 2026-09-10.
Information we process
The app processes shop and installation identifiers, product titles, descriptions, SEO fields, product status, image references and alternative text. It stores product snapshots, audit findings, rule-based drafts, manual edits, selected-field changes and restoration results. Merchant-entered content may contain personal information.
Shopify authentication sessions can contain merchant or staff identifiers, names, email addresses, locale and account flags, together with access and refresh credentials. Credentials are held on the server, not exposed in the app interface.
The app stores subscription status, approval attempts, trial history and usage records. Shopify Billing is the authority for subscription approval and charges. The app does not collect payment-card details.
The app does not request customer or order API permissions or intentionally import customer profiles or orders. It processes merchant session information and product content as described above.
Purpose and sharing
Information supports authentication, product synchronization, SEO audits, rule-based drafts, manual editing, illustrative previews, confirmed updates, conflict checks, history, restoration and subscription access. Rule drafts are prepared on the application server from explicit content rules and existing product fields.
Selected changes are sent to Shopify after merchant confirmation. DigitalOcean hosts the application and its managed PostgreSQL database in Singapore. Information may therefore be processed outside your country. Shopify also processes information under its own policies to provide the platform and billing services. Authorized support personnel may access information when needed to operate, troubleshoot or secure the service, or respond to your request. Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law.
Data handling and privacy deletion
Saved records are retained to support the installed app's workflows, usage accounting and subscription history. After uninstall, records remain until the applicable privacy deletion request is processed. Contact support to request access or deletion. We do not promise a fixed retention period or a customer-accessible automatic backup and recovery service.
When a verified uninstall notification is processed, the app disables the installation and pending work and removes its authentication sessions. Uninstalling is not represented as immediate deletion of all historical records.
A verified Shopify shop-redaction request deletes the shop's application records, including product snapshots, audits, drafts, change history, subscription cache, usage and tasks, and removes its authentication sessions. A minimal receipt records the request's handling. Customer privacy notifications are verified and acknowledged without storing the supplied customer details as customer profiles.
The app verifies Shopify webhook signatures and records delivery identifiers to handle duplicate deliveries. Application history restoration concerns recorded product-field changes; it is not a database backup or disaster-recovery service.
Questions and rights
Contact [email protected] with your shop domain for privacy questions or requests. Do not send passwords, access tokens or payment-card details. We may ask for information needed to verify that a request concerns a shop you are authorized to represent. Applicable privacy rights and legal response requirements are not limited by this policy.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The current policy is available on this page with its effective date: 2026-09-10.
